I've been really out of pocket lately but I have some good stuff coming up soon. I'm doing a couple of pre mixes, that I will then send to my school for rotation so that when I return it can be in a big way knaameen, kid?.
Damn I hate looking for work. It feels like trying to take a nail out with a screwdriver. yeah it could work, but it's not supposed to feel the way it feels.

The Devil Meeting Flowers
today's the day the flowers sit and chat
amongst themselves. the devil sat beside
them all - and in the softest voice so calm
he told them of a story true the skies
as green and grass as blue. i now wish to
recount to you the devil's tale to flowers.
a short delight this tale should be. i share
with you a sight to see. an image for
your mind to breathe. the air is light, sunshine
is free. in this place " eternity "
there sat a man twenty and three. he wished
for peace amongst himself; instead received
naught but his health. so there he sat, alone
tormented shamed at self for how he spent his
time was sad and so he laid asleep.
[and that's where it kinda just left me and i couldn't write anymore, so instead i have this version of it as well.]
he wasn't allowed to look directly at the flower.
There was a little too much,
well, danger to its well being.
So, he refrained.
Instead, with blowing glances he
refreshed the imagery in his own mind.
And that was the blessing of his curse.
The mind's eye cannot keep still.
To replace everlasting perfection in
that snapshot sway
he was granted moments of
reconstruction
involving the now & then
the is & was
the will be's.
Better was the stillness that encompassed such change
No two glances the same, yet
nothing ever truly different
How much beauty in that empty space
between when he was allowed to look and
when he was forced to ook away
how much more in the infinitely singular
moments between when infatuation
meet
imagination.
He listened to the flower's whispers
[and then that one dies too. but there was one that chronologically comes in between the writings of the others, so I guess I should put what little of it exists.]
So the devil spoke his sweetest words attempts at gaining trust
he loved a single flower so for him change was not much
the words flowed endlessly on topics he cared for not
but devils's tales can't be derailed except by Cupid's shot
his heart was snatched by richest greens and deepest golds in eye
as they stared back he forved himself convinced of simple lie[s].
he told the story quickly through, of how the stems could scarcely move
under trance of one so [illegible]
but flowers always know
[and there you have it. three failed attempts at the devil meeting flowers.]

Last Monday's playlist
George sat this one out to study so i went all out on the dubstep. This hated it, but i don't care. Also, will have a Big Pooh (1/2 of little brother) drop just for my tracks. I'm on my way to being a mixtape DJ.

Wu Massacre
New Album Art from the Bastard Swordsmen, as Rae would like to call the subgroup [read: core of Wu-Tang]. For all who don't know, Tical, Starks, and the Chef are putting an album/movie out together. The movie is based on Se7en, a horror classic, especially if you like psycho killers. Below are the trailers and the album artwork for your viewing pleasure. Check out Meth vs. Chef pt. 2 if you haven't gotten it already.

Kardi
so we've been putting in some work for the album and as we push forward, we've had a bit of a push behind us as well. getting love from various places such as here. i wanted to link up to the interview, but for some reason the computer won't let me, so instead you'll have to look for that one on your own time. i think it's a good interview, but you may not agree. still worth looking into imo. i'll trouble shoot it later to make it easier for the rest of y'all.
so as a treat with the new i wanna give y'all some old Kardi tracks. enjoy.

texts from last night
(415) 2:41 "I want u to fuck me hella bad"
Yeah I know. It's mean of me not to have sex with someone after that text message, but I have this huge crush on a girl, and it just so happens that she's from Philly/New York/some town in MA (I say this only to promote ambiguity, not like anyone would read this and figure out which one is the real city anyway). Unfortunately, the 415 area code doesn't correspond to those areas, so I gotta let this girl go. She's a cool person, so I hope she can find someone to replace me soon. Granted, I want to believe that she won't find someone with the same performance abilities as I have.
On a more important note, Alan Watt's Book on Zen is amazing. I'm a little less than halfway through, and it has truly reminded me of all the thoughts I have when I'm all alone. Just the positive side of them. Maybe if I think the bad stuff enough, it'll transform from (form from ha) a powerfully depressing experience to an amazingly liberating one.
Maybe I'll have courage today and approach that girl...

WHRB
So I officially have a slot on the radio station. Sunday night/Monday mornings from 3-4am. Shit slot, but if we can get a nice little following for the department, I think we'll be able to expand our options, making for availability of better time slots. Next year I should have a better slot, but no complaints. As long as I get to broadcast I'm happy. In other news, Thiz and I will probably start a podcast. I might podcast my weekly show and on top of that have something else with the squad.

Kardiology Sessions
This is some shit Thiz and I put down during the Kardiology recording process. Unfortunately, I didn't remember any of this shit being recorded, but it exists so I guess we did record it.
not too proud of myself to be honest, but I might as well release it to all of my fans (i don't think 0 counts as a plural number, but all my fan sounds wrong).
hope you enjoy this one.

Black Panthers
Richard Aoki is an example of a great man who deserves more respect and recognition than he has received thus far. I was recently able to watch a documentary on the man and became much more informed on the black panther party as a whole, as well as gaining information on the source of many of the arms in the beginning of the black panther movement, a gathering of friends (hint Japanese guy).
Aoki grew up in Oakland near Huey Newton and Bobby Seale. As a result of that and his natural disposition toward exuberance and action against social injustice, the three got along well, among others whose names I'm not completely sure of. Richard Aoki (which may mean blue tree, but could have a host of other meanings, ranging from relation to soul to a home or possibly ship or home ground trait) is a man worthy of study. I might take it up if I have the opportunity.
